The night at Pirata starts with a "sertão" (hinterland - northeast of Brazil) way, with the original forró pé-de-serra!

United in family, the two brothers Chiquinho and Antônio César, together with his dad at the guitar, started to practice some notes in an old concertina that they borrowed. Playing with the chords, they developed a greater taste for the music. They launched in 1998, playing the typical forró pé-de-serra, opening the monday nights at the Pirata Bar, next to the concertina player Azeitona.

In 1999, the name "Forró Pé-de-Chinelo" became official. The band gained 3 new members, João Ivan at the concertina, Canindé at the zabumba and Flor as a singer, to make the group even stronger. When the musician Canindé took over the zabumba, Leandro Campos was able to assume his position as the leading vocalist of the band.

Today, Pé-de-Chinelo is a forró pé-de-serra reference all over the state of Ceará. Besides heating up the nights at the Pirata Bar, Forró Pé de Chinelo also play in several other forró houses producing a delicious "arrasta-pé" to the sound of the concertina, zabumba and triangle, in accordance to the traditional northeastern forró.
