The most recent project was the departure of 17 jangadeiros to the Nautical Festival of Brest, in France, where the fishermen had an opportunity to learn new modern fishing techniques and see different types of marine transports, besides exchanging experiences with the local fishermen.

The Pirata Marinheiros Foundation maintains, for several years, a partnership with the Association of the Lacemakers of Maceió, in the municipal district of Itapipoca.

Part of the work accomplished, is the support to the sales of the products done by the association, in seminars, congress, symposiums and other events of scientific or cultural character.

They are adolescents that were in risky situations, and today, they are perfectly integrated in the society and with great prominence in the sport that they chose.

In the partnership that the Pirata Marinheiros Foundation has with the Fishing community Z-03, of Itapipoca, we should highlight the "Regata de Jangadas" (Rafts Race) that is

promoted every year, in this occasion the fishermen receives support from sponsors to renew their jangadas.
