On Tuesday, September 20th of 2005, the kids from Projeto Motivação visited the World Sailing Championship, where they were introduced to Robert Sheidt (Brazilian, two times gold medalist in the olympics and eight times world champion), Gustavo Lima (Portuguese, world champion), Felix Pruvot (French Olympic Team), and other competitors that explained to them how to sail, and how to set up and to disassemble the sail boat. They were also interviewed by the reporter Tino Marcos (from Globo TV station).
The presence of competitors from a variety of different countries in this event, was an excellent opportunity for the kids to see how the sport can also be a very strong communication channel.
