The Community of Caetanos in the coast of Amontada, is a fishermen's village, with a precarious infra structure, that counts with access to one public phone and energy. The highway was built 4 years ago and the energy arrived two years ago. On Sunday, September 25, it was given by Mr. Edivaldo Assis of Jesus, Mayor of Amontada, the so dreamed system of treated water. Little by little the community's dreams are becoming a reality, one of them, the water, will reduce the number of diseases a lot, specially in their children.

A number of authorities and guests were present, like the mayor of Itapipoca Mr. João Barroso, and several other politicians and aldermen from the municipal districts of Itapipoca and Amontada.

The event had a full day program schedule, that counted with presentations of the Band Santa Cecília (Amontada) and other local groups. On the beach there was a soccer tournament, the steamship race, and the capoeira roda. The Fundação Pirata collaborated with the community leaderships in the organization of the event. We are very proud of our friends from Caetanos, and on each event we are collaborating with the community that was the birthplace of the Fundação Pirata Marinheiros.
